International Marconi Day 2015

Members of Kerry Amateur Radio Group will be participating in International Marconi Day 2015, as an IMD Award Station.

KARG will be operating, using the club callsign EI1K, from the original Marconi site, which is now located on the grounds of the Irish Language Training College - Colaiste Bhreanainn, in Ballybunion, County Kerry, Ireland.

WAI Locator for this location is Q84
Maidenhead Location IO52

It is planned to operate for the full 24hr duration of the event.

Maurice Collins Memorial Vintage Rally 2015

KARG members Billy EI7CQB, John EI9JO, John, EI3JR and Declan EI9FVB participated in the 2015 Maurice Collins Memorial Vintage Rally at Banna West today.
The weather was fantastic and the event was a huge success, with many visitors inquiring about the club and the hobby. Many visitors will have got their first sunburn of the season today, as the sunshine was enjoyed all day.

We were delighted to be able to activate WAI square Q72 and Maidenhead square IO52ci

March Monthly Meeting venue change

March 27, 2015

The venue for this months meeting has been changed to upstairs meeting room at Presentation School sports hall, next to the cathedral in Killarney. Start time remains 11am

This will become the regular meeting venue in Killarney going forward, and will offer KARG new opportunities for presentations and workshops, as well as the usual agenda items.

March KARG Meeting

New EI1K QSL Cards

Good News.....

Our new QSL cards arrived today, and all backlog of both direct and buro cards will be posted very very soon....

The KARG AGM was held Sat 28th Feb at Manor West, Tralee.
The same committee were re-elected for 2015.

Many thanks to all members that attended, and our membership has already exceeded 2014...

We would also like to extend a very warm welcome our newest member Eamonn Cregan...

February Monthly KARG Meeting

The club AGM will take place at the February monthly KARG meeting, at the upstairs cafe, Manor West Retail Park, Tralee on Sat 28th February, at 11am sharp.

Cork Radio Rally - Sunday 7th Sept Sunday

Please note that North Cork Radio Group would like to give a final reminder that their 5th anniversary rally will be held on Sunday, 7th September 2014 at the Commons Inn, Blackpool, Cork and doors will open at 11am.
Entry fee is ???5 and children will be free as usual.

There are some really nice spot prizes in the raffle and tickets will be on sale at the door for ???5 per strip.

Hope to see some of ye there as per usual for Sunday lunch!!
