Per newspaper article in recent "Kerry's Eye", the lighthouse at Valentia will have an official opening to the public during the June bank holiday weekend, to coincide with the Transatlantic Communications and Light Gathering. Also all three communications elements on the island - the cable station, the coastguard radio station and the Lighthouse - will be explored through a series of lectures.
