KARG monthly Meeting Oct 2016
Posted by on Wednesday, November 2, 2016
The KARG monthly meeting took place last Saturday at our Killarney venue, per usual at 11am.
Thanks to all members that attended.
A good discussion was had on the 2017 Wild Atlantic Way program, JOTA and of course the annual Christmas club dinner, which will be held at the same venue as last year, at the Muckross Cafe at 12 noon, on Sat 26th November. This will replace the monthly meeting in November.
A good discussion was had on the recent JOTA activity by KARG, and plans are already underway for a collaborative effort in 2017, with other scout clubs.
The WAW QSL cards are being finalized, and plans are at the final stages for the special calls EI11WAW to EI99WAW.
The call EI88WAW will be in use by KARG members during 2017. The QRZ page is currently under construction.
We'd like to wish good DX to KARG members John EI9JO and Chris EI9CZB, and hope they enjoy their recent purchase of Cobwebb antennas.
The next KARG meeting will be held on Sat 28th January 2017 at Castleisland Fire Station, at 11am. All existing and new members are invited to attend, as the AGM will be held at this meeting. A list of events for 2017 will also be published at that time.
KARG had a very busy 2016, and 2017 will be even busier, so we will need everyone's support to make it successful.
