What is Amateur Radio - https://www.hamradio.ie/
The Kerry Amateur Radio Group is based in County Kerry, in the south west of Ireland. We have a small but growing membership with interests in a wide range of amateur radio activities including:
- HF and VHF Portable Operations
- Satellite operations
- Antenna and Equipment Construction
- Public Service Communications
- Dx'ing
- DMR (Digital Mobile Radio)
The club hosts regular field days, being well attended and very popular with members. These field days are as much about the social occasion as the operating, with room for all interests in the hobby.
Anyone interested in amateur or shortwave radio is very welcome to come along to the monthly club meetings, or contact any member of the KARG for information or assistance on becoming licensed, or even just for a friendly chat. Our door is open to all.
Please consider a donation to the club, to support ongoing KARG activities in County Kerry and KARG maintenance costs for upkeep of equipment and 70cms repeater at Mullaghanish, and club insurance costs.
